The Ask.

A team of writers, artists, and activists wanted to build a microsite in response to the Black Lives Matter protests that gripped America in 2020.

The Challenge.

How do you meaningfully present the idea that policing has cost-equivalent alternatives that put fewer lives at risk and can build safer communities?

My Solution.

I helped draft the mission statement for this independent project and worked with a team of other writers to develop the true stories featured on the site. I also wrote each of the ‘Checking the Facts’ pop-ups and authored the UX copy for the site itself.
