Hello, I’m Corey.

I’m a guy who really loves words. I’ve been lucky enough to write for a murderers’ row of brands and in a variety of formats — including web, email, social media, and UX/UI. I’ve lived and worked in just about every corner of New York City, and studied writing at The New School in Manhattan.

I am a strategic storyteller, a passionate brand architect, and thrive when hunting down the solution to the day's biggest problem. I've been told I have a knack for translating big ideas into precise, powerful copy, and my passion lies in spotting trends and predicting how they'll shape the cultural landscape of the future.

My most recent role was at Shopify, where I led copywriting efforts across our dotcom initiative. I joined the team at Shopify after doing similar work at Intuit Mailchimp and Peacock; before that, I spent three years as a UX writer at Huge. Earlier in my career, I spent several years in marketing and programming at various TV networks, with opportunities including Viacom and NBCUniversal. I differentiated myself from other marketers in my field by voluntarily taking on an ever-growing body of copywriting work well outside my Marketing Manager’s title.

I like big meals, small dogs, alt-comedy, and '80s New Wave. I am dedicated to the pursuit of making media smarter, funnier, and more inclusive.
